Tastes Like Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Nov-2018
Bright straw-yellow colour with slight lemon-green hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegant in presentation with aromas of fresh and savoury gooseberry fruit, with green capsicums, herbs and a suggestion of green beans. The aromatics are still fresh with nuances of minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has gently rich and luscious flavours of gooseberry fruit with notes of tropical fruits, herbs and a touch of green bean. The fruit forms a good core and has palate presence, flowing along a fine-textured line with balanced acidity, leading to a lingering finish. This is an elegant, gently rich and sweet-fruited Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours and hints of green beans on a fine palate line. Match with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Martinborough fruit fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. 17.0-/20 Nov 2018 RRP $20.00
