Medium crimson, even colour throughout. The nose is full, with aromas of blackberry, cherry, black tea, dried herbs and spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of blackberry and cherry, entwined with black tea, dried herbs, shiitake and cinnamon bark. Tightly woven silky tannins provide structure, reflecting fragrant black tea and cinnamon. Lively, balanced acidity provides balance and carries a lengthy, black-fruited finish. Match with roasted lamb and hare over the next 5+ years. The fruit was cold-soaked, then small-batch fermented to 13.5% alc.
