Tankersley Estate Pinot Noir 2018, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 02-May-2023
Moderately deep ruby-black, lighter on edge. The nose is soft, with lush fruit and spice, opening up to plum, cooked boysenberry, cherry, savoury elements and an amalgam of spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of plum, cooked boysenberry, and cherry form a savoury core, unfolding nutmeg, clove, black pepper and mushroom stew. The wine is full and lush with a savoury palate and smooth-grained tannin framework upheld by balanced acidity. This Pinot Noir is ripe and savoury, with a full mouthfeel and spice linger. Match with braised lamb and shepherd's pie over the next 2 years. 14% alc. 17/20 pts (85 pts) May 2023 RRP $24.99
