Tamar Ridge Tasmania Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from Australia - Tasmania
Review Date : 30-Dec-2014
Pale ruby-red colour, lighter on rim, youthful in appearance. Tightly bound, light dark red cherry fruit aromas show with subtle minerally notes, the aromatics are pure but shy in expression. Elegantly proportioned, this has a tightly concentrated core of bright red cherry fruit flavours and red florals with a little herbal nuance. The mouthfeel is fresh with fine acidity and the tannin extraction fine-grained. The wine is pretty, but with some potential to develop with elegance. Tamar Valley, mixed clones, destemmed and fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 12 months in 20% new French oak. 17.5/20 Dec 2014 RRP AU$31.00
