Tamana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Sep-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow, near colourless on edge. The nose is fresh with well-concentrated and bright aromas of gooseberries, nettles and cut grass, along with mouthwatering minerally nuances. The fruit is in the cooler spectrum of ripeness. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, fresh fruit flavours of gooseberries, herbs, nettles and grass form a soft and rounded core with some sweetness and juiciness. The acidity is slippery lending good energy and drive. Light, drying phenolics emerge to balance the fruitiness, leading to a dry, lingering, herb and nettle nuanced finish. This is a soft, bright and juicy cooler-spectrum Sauvignon Blanc with light grip and a dry, lingering finish. Serve with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys fermented to 12.5% alc. 17.0/20 Sep 2015 RRP AUS$22.00
