Medium ruby-black with a garnet hue, lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full and complex, with aromas of raspberry, dried cranberry, dried hibiscus, spice and undergrowth. Medium-bodied, aromas of raspberry, dried cranberry intertwined with dried hibiscus, undergrowth, thyme and sweet spice. The mouthfeel is creamy with dusty, fine tannins; integrated acidity carries zesty spice and vanilla to a lingering closing. Match with pulled pork and duck over the next 3 years. Handpicked, fermented to 14% alc, aged in French oak, unfined, unfiltered. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) July 2023 RRP $79.99
