Sylvain-Cathiard Vosne-Romanee 1er ‘Les Malconsorts’ 2006

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 07-Feb-2011
Showing a medium-deep ruby red colour with a lighter edge. Essentially troubled on bouquet, this had a little grubbiness with stalky fruit, heat from alcohol and a little oxidation. However, the palate was soft and supple in mouthfeel, with light red berry fruit flavours along with complex savoury elements, all sitting on a dryish palate. Quite positive in the final analysis, despite the European winemaking elements.  Oct 2010
