Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is very fresh, tightly held with penetrating aromas of pungent passionfruit along with chalky, minerally notes, and grassy, nettly and esters-lifted nuances. This is pure and mouthwatering. Dry to taste and slender in expression, attractively aromatic and pungent passionfruit flavours show alongside nettles, grassy notes and gooseberry fruit, forming a good core with depth and linearity. Light phenolic textures lend a soft, graininess with restrained acidity enhancing the rounded mouthfeel. The flavours carry through to a long, dry finish with passionfruit notes. This is an elegant, intense, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with soft grainy textures. Serve with seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2 years.
