Summerhouse Pinot Gris 2020, Marlborough

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Jan-2021
Bright, pale straw-yellow, faintly lighter on edge. The nose is gentle and soft, with pear nuances, Gala apple entwined with white florals, and a ginger hint. Medium-bodied, dryish to taste, and pear and apple aroma are pure, linger with ginger spice and delicate white blossoms. A refined thread of chalky phenolic texture flows with lacy acidity, carry spices throughout the palate and finish with a thirst-quenching pear scent. This is a refreshing Pinot Gris with the pure flavour of pear and apple on a fine-phenolic thread. Match with pork satay and dim sum over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from near the Blind River, stainless steel fermented to 13.5% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Jan 2021 RRP $18.99
