Summerhouse Marlborough Chardonnay 2012

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Jan-2014
Bright, full straw-yellow colour with slight golden hues, paler on edge. This has a very full nose of ripe tropical and yellow stonefruits seamlessly intermixed with plenty of nutty oak and buttery layers. The bouquet grows in volume, revealing lifted citrus notes, and complexing savoury and aldehyde development nuances. Full-bodied and bold in presentation, deep, broad and mouthfilling flavours of ripe tropical fruits, citrus fruits, butter and nutty oak are the feature. This has real presence with alcohol drive, fine, grainy textures and balanced acidity guiding the wine to a strong and sustained dry finish with nutty, toasty oak. This is a powerfully constructed, mouthfilling, traditional Chardonnay with rich tropical fruit and buttery, nutty flavours. Serve with roasted white meat dishes over the next 4 years. Hand-picked fruit, WBP and fermented to 13.5% alc. and aged a further 10 months in French oak barriques. 18.0+/20 Jan 2014 RRP $35.00
