Sugar Loaf Marlborough Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Jun-2014
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, paler on rim. The bouquet is very elegant and finely presented with softly intense and penetrating aromas of lime fruit and toast harmoniously entwined with hints of honey and cream from secondary development. Off-dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the fruit flavours of lime and honey are gently luscious, revealing complexing toast and creamy detail. The fruit has a delicate, but positive core and is underlined by very fine phenolic textures, with vibrantly lacy acidity providing freshness and energy to the mouthfeel. The palate follows a soft textured line to a long, lingering finish with honey and toast nuances. This is an elegant, delicate and refined off-dry Riesling with secondary complexing honey and toast notes. Serve as an aperitif and withmildly spicy Asian fare over the next 4 years. Awatere fruit cool-fermented in tank to 9.0% alc. and 11 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Jun 2014 RRP $17.00
