Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Nov-2013
Very pale straw colour, clear and pale on rim. The nose is fresh with fine, intense and softly concentrated aromas of passionfruit, fresh herbs and minerals all interwoven harmoniously. Dry to taste and tightly bound, this is slender in expression with passionfruit and ripe herb flavours at the core, underlined by a textured line of fine, drying phenolics and firm acidity. The palate has depth and concentration, allied to crisp, refreshing linearity and the flavours show good drive, leading to a well-packed, dry, textural finish with good length, This is an elegant, well concentrated and fine textured Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and herb flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with antipasto and with seafood and creamy poultry dishes over the next 2 years. Mass selected clone fruit from the northern side of the Wairau river, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 4.8 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Nov 2013 RRP $25.99
