Stoneleigh ‘Latitude’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Nov-2013
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on edge. This has a very full, broad and voluminous bouquet of rich, ripe passionfruit and pungent tropical fruit aromas, expressed evenly and growing in depth in the glass. Dry to taste and near full-bodied, rich, succulent and luscious flavours of passionfruit fill the palate. Excellent, mouthwatering acidity enlivens the fruit, enhancing and refreshing the mouthfeel providing real tension and drive. A fine textural thread underscores the fruit flow, and along with the juicy acidity carries the flavours to a very long, lingering, textured finish with aromatic tropical fruit notes. This is a rich, succulent and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours. Match with tapas, seafood, salads and vegetables, and goats cheeses over the next 2 years. Fruit from selected blocks on the ‘Golden Mile’ near Rapaura Road, cool-fermented with a portion in a large, aged oak cuvee to 13.5% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. 18.5/20 Nov 2013 RRP $27.99
