Stoneleigh ‘Latitude’ Marlborough Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Sep-2011
Clone 95, 15, 6 and Mendoza from the ‘Stoneleigh' vineyards, barrel-fermented to 14.0% alc., partially by native yeast, the wine lees-stirred in 30% new oak for 4 months. Even straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, this has a soft, integrated nose of ripe citrus fruits, peaches and tropical fruits, along with buttery MLF and toasty oak all interwoven. Dry and full-bodied, the palate is very harmonious and creamy textured, with citrus fruits, mealiness buttery nutty notes and toast forming a seamless amalgam. Good acidity underlines the palate, providing balance and contributing to the sustained finish which features toasty oak. Match this seamless Chardonnay with seafood, poultry and pasta dishes over the next 3-4+ years.  Sep 2011 RRP $26.99
