Stonecrop Martinborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 08-Apr-2016
Bright candyfloss pink colour with peach hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is bright and refreshing with light aromas of cranberries and strawberry confectionary, growing in volume to reveal red floral elements and mouthwatering mineral and wet-stone nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate shows light fruit flavours of cranberries and watermelon along with subtle strawberry confectionary, aromatic floral and mineral notes. The mouthfeel is lively and fresh with fine, lacy acidity, along with a fine phenolic thread which carries the wine to a light, dry finish with cranberry and floral nuances. This is a light and lively, refreshing, dry rosé with cranberry and strawberry fruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and antipasto over the next 2 years. Hand-picked clone 777 and Abel Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Stonecrop’ vineyard, given 2 hours skin contact and cool-fermented to 13.4% alc. and 2.9 g/L RS. 370 cases made. 16.5+/20 Apr 2016 RRP $18.00
