Stonecroft Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 14-Nov-2013
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale edged. This has a softly full nose with gentle and restrained aromas of green stonefruits, yellow florals and herbs, revealing some grassy notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, a restrained melange of piquant, lifted tropical fruit flavours, citrus fruits and herbs forms a soft-textured, succulent and mouthwatering palate. The acidity is low with a fine textured line carrying the flavours. The palate flows gently unveiling lifted herb and floral elements on the moderately long finish. This is a soft-textured dry Sauvignon Blanc with an array of lifted fruit flavours. Match with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. 75% stainless-steel and 25% seasoned oak fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine aged on lees for 2-3 months. 17.0/20 Nov 2013 RRP $25.00
