Stone Paddock by Paritua Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 19-Feb-2018
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, very pale on the rim. The nose is light in presentation with restrained, fragrant and lifted aromas of gooseberries, fresh herbs and white florals, unfolding cool-spectrum nettle elements. The nose has a subtle piquancy and grows in intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the palate is shy in expression with restrained gooseberry fruit with soft notes of florals and a suggestion of green beans. The mouthfeel is refreshing and lively with crisp acidity, and the wine carries along a light phenolic-textured line, leading to a slender finish. This is a light and restrained Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and herb flavours, fresh acidity and light, dry textures. Serve as an aperitif and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Bridge Pa Triangle vineyard cool-fermented in stainless-steel with 10% in barrel to 12.0% alc. and <1.0 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees for 3 months. 16.5+/20 Feb 2018 RRP $20.00
