Stoller ‘Reserve’ Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2010

Pinot Noir from USA
Review Date : 02-Aug-2013
Lightish ruby-red colour with some purple hues. The nose is aromatic and lifted with fragrant red fruits and florals, along with subtle layers of herbs. Fine charry oak pervades the bouquet, but the underlying fruit has presence. Medium-bodied and elegantly proportioned, this features an amalgam of red florals, soft red berry fruits and prominent oak char. A little herbal line adds a layer of detail. The mouthfeel is slender, but supple with the fruit sweetness balanced by fine-grained tannins and fine, lacy acidity. The flavours lead to a long, lingering finish. This is a very refined and elegant Pinot Noir with high quality oak char playing a distinctive role. 5-6 years. Pommard, Wadenswil, Dijon 115, 667, 777 clones, Dundee Hills AVA, fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine spending 10 months in 30-40% new French oak. 18.5-/20 Jul 2013 RRP USD $40.00
