Stingray Bay Nelson Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 13-Jun-2011
Fruit from selected vineyards in the Nelson region fermented to 13.5% alc. Light garnet-red colour with some depth. This has a fresh, primary fruited strawberryish nose with fragrant, cooler herbal notes and some charry, toast oak showing. A bright, lively fruited wine with strawberry and herb flavours on palate, fresh cherry elements add to the sweet core. Modest extraction enhances drinkability. The wine has an elevated level of acidity which adds zest and a lusciousness to the finish. Match with antipasto poultry and pasta dishes over the next 3-4 years. 16.0/20 Jun 2011 RRP $14.99
