Staete Landt Marlborough Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Jun-2011
Bright, pale straw-yellow with light green hues to the colour. On nose very fine, tight and intense with white stonefruit and spicy, nutty oak. Dry and very fine-featured, this has flavours of stonefruits, dried pears, notes of tropical fruits and nuts, with spicy oak somewhat a feature. It is all framed in a soft-textured palate with good, fresh acidity. This is a wine with good weight, line and length. Fruit from two parcels, whole bunch pressed, fermented in old oak, some with indigenous yeasts to 14.0% alc., and 4.4 g/L rs. 20% MLF, the wine aged on lees. Serve with antipasto, seafood, poultry and pork over the next 4-5+ years. 17.5/20 Jun 2011 RRP $29.00
