Stad_ko Wines Pinot Noir Rosé 2020, Martinborough

Rosé from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 24-Sep-2021
Bright, pale peach-pink with depth, even colour throughout. The nose is expressive and voluminous, packed with aromas of ripe peach, nectarine melded with an amalgam of spices, blossoms, underlying red currants. Medium-full bodied, invigorating palate filled with aromas of ripe peach, cantaloupe melon with a hint of red currants, unfolding rose petals, tea fragrance and spice mix. The mouthfeel is creamy with fine-textured phenolics contribute to a slightly chalky flow; brilliant, lively acidity carries spices to a fresh, spicy finish. This is a voluminous Pinot Noir rose with the depth of fruit, petals and spices on a textural palate. Match with beef carpaccio and hot-smoked salmon over the next 2-3 years. Handpicked Pinot Noir, fermented in stainless steel (75%) and barrel (25%) to 13% alc, no fining, vegan friendly. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Sept 2021 RRP $29
