Squawking Magpie ‘Two For Joy’ Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 06-Oct-2015
Bright, moderately deep, pale peach-red colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is softly fresh with good volume of up-front raspberry and cream aromas entwined with cranberry elements. This is open and accessible. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, up-front, juicy flavours of raspberries and cream, and cranberries feature on an open and easy palate. The mouthfeel is lush and soft, with a gentle acid freshness and a round, moderately concentrated core. The wine flows easily, carrying through to a dry, raspberry nuanced finish. This is an accessible, juicy rosé with raspberry and cream flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with dim sum and Asian fare over the next 2 years. 100% Hawke’s Bay Merlot, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and <3.0 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Oct 2015 RRP $23.95
