Bright, very pale straw colour with some green hues, near colourless on rim. The bouquet is tight, and near austere with mineral and flint infused gooseberry fruit aromas, along with a delicate nutty nuance. Very dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the palate is crisp and elegantly presented with light gooseberry flavours, revealing lifted citrus and herb elements. The flavours flow along a soft, dry, and fine-textured line, with soft, lacy acidity adding a slippery, thirst-quenching mouthfeel. The fruit is carried to a brisk, dry, mouthwatering finish. This is a light, soft, gooseberry and mineral-flavoured Sauvignon Blanc with a degree of austerity. Serve with seafood and delicate Asian cuisine over the next 18 months to 2 years.
