Spy Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Oct-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly full and voluminous with aromas of passionfruit and gooseberries, white florals, fresh herbs and a fine line of minerals. The aromatics have elegance, depth and intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has soft, mouthfilling flavours of passionfruit with subtle notes of gooseberries, fresh herbs and snow peas. The fruit is refreshing with mineral nuances. The mouthfeel is well-balanced with gentle richness and liveliness. The wine flows easily and smoothly to a soft, elegant, lingering finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a soft and gently mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours with balanced acidity and fruit richness. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. MS clone fruit from the Waihopi and Wairau valleys, fermented in stainless-steel with 6% in oak barrels to 12.0% alc. and 2.8 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Oct 2017 RRP $20.00
