Spy Valley Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 01-Nov-2015
Bright, light, salmon-pink colour, lighter on edge. The nose is very delicate and soft with fresh aromas of strawberries and red floral nuances, unfolding refreshing cranberry and herb hints and mouthwatering mineral elements. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is elegant with finely concentrated flavours of strawberries, cranberries and florals. The wine follows a fine-textured, dry line and the mouthfeel is enlivened by crisp, mouthwatering acidity. The palate flows to a clean, crisply dry, linear finish with vibrant acidity and lifted florals. This is a light-bodied, dry and delicately flavoured, thirst-quenching rosé with strawberry, cranberry and floral flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir from the ‘Johnson’ vineyard, hand-picked, the majority pressed, with the remained drained off skins immediately, and fermented in oak and tank to 12.5% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Nov 2015 RRP $23.50
