Spy Valley Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Sep-2011
100% Pinot Noir from the Southern Valleys, fermented in oak and stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 6.2 g/L. Very pale pink with delicate purple hues to the colour. The bouquet shows soft red-berry and fresh redcurrant aromas with a little confectionary lift. Dry, crisp and refreshing, there are light, flavours of strawberries and redcurrants, with melon notes. The palate has good weight and presence, and a fine textural thread provides good line, underscored by crisp acidity. Subtle fruit flavours linger on the dry finish. A subtle-fruited, dry rosé with the vinosity to match with antipasto as well as serving as an aperitif over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Sep 2011 RRP $22.95
