Spy Valley ‘Easy Tiger’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Aug-2016
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, paler on edge. The nose is full and gently voluminous with aromas of ripe passionfruit melded with nectarines and greengages, unfolding nuances of citrus fruits, fresh herbs and green capsicums. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the palate possesses soft and rounded fruit flavours of passionfruit harmoniously melded with green stonefruits, along with nuances of herbs, capsicums and a hint of nuts. The flavours gently fill the palate. The mouthfeel is soft and rounded in texture, and the acidity is softly integrated. The wine carries to a soft, finely textured finish with passionfruit and greengage notes. Full and voluminous on nose, this is a soft and gently mouthfilling light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc with pungent passionfruit and green stonefruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with herb-marinated poultry dishes over the next 18 months to 2 years. 100% Wairau Valley fruit from ‘Johnson Estate’ and contract growers, fermented in barrels and tank to 9.5% alc., 3.9 g/L RS, TA 7.4 g/L and pH 3.29. 17.0+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $18.00
