Spy Valley ‘Easy Tiger’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Sep-2014
Full, even, pale straw-yellow colour. The nose is full with soft gooseberry fruit aromas harmoniously intermixed with white and yellow stonefruit and lifted floral notes, the bouquet unveiling gentle tropical fruit elements. Dry to taste and light-bodied, mellow flavours of gooseberries, tropical fruits, passionfruit and cut grass flow smoothly on a soft-texted palate. Lacy background acidity provides some energy and line, carrying the flavours to a light, moderately long finish of capsicums and stonefruits. This is a soft-textured, smooth and accessible, light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and mild Asian fare over the next 18 months – 2 years. Fruit from three sites from ‘Johnson Estate’ and growers, picked at a range of ripeness levels from 16.3 - 19.2° Brix, fermented to 9.5% alc. and 4.4 g/L RS, TA 7.0 g/L and pH 3.58. 16.5/20 Sep 2014 RRP $21.00
