Spring Creek Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Aug-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh with soft and full, rounded aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit with pungent passionfruit, tropical fruits and subtle, lifted esters, all harmoniously melded. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is soft, open and accessible with gentle mouthfilling flavours of sweetly ripe gooseberry fruit entwined with passionfruit and tropical fruits. The acidity is ripe and integrated, and subtle, drying phenolics emerge to carry the wine to a dry, chalky finish with passionfruit and minerally notes. This is a soft, accessible, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a dry finish. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Wairau Valley fruit from vines 10-20 y.o., cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 1.72 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Aug 2015 RRP $15.99
