Spring Creek Estate Marlborough Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Aug-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. This has a light and delicate nose with subtle lime fruit lifted with esters, revealing mineral and herbal nuances, the aromatics pure and finely expressed. Dryish to taste, the palate is very tightly bound and elegant in proportion, with delicate fruit flavours of white florals and limes. The mouthfeel has suggestions of succulence and is enlivened by soft, background acidity, providing a mouthwatering flow. The wine flows to a soft-textured lingering finish with lime notes. This is an elegant and delicate, refreshing, dry Riesling with a soft floral fruitiness. Serve as an aperitif and with fine Asian cuisine over the next 3-4+ years. Fruit from the Rapaura district, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6.14 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Aug 2014 RRP $15.90
