Spring Creek Estate Marlborough Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Mar-2011
2010 was a cool and slow growing season providing aromatic wines. Fruit from two sites in Rapaura cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 8.8 g/L rs, the wine sitting at the dry end of Medium-Dry on the IRF scale. Bright pale straw-yellow in colour, this has a light, fresh and youthfully tight nose of lime and citrus fruits with a touch of minerals and herbs. Dryish to taste, this has a good vinous presence, the fruit expression showing delicacy and subtlety. Lime juice, florals and minerally notes are backed by soft acidity, making this ideal as an aperitif drinking over the next 2-3 years. 15.5/20 Mar 2011 RRP $14.90
