Spring Creek Estate Marlborough Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Mar-2017
Ruby-red colour with some depth, and light purple hues on the rim. The nose is light with fresh and well-proportioned aromas of dark raspberries and red cherries, entwined with nuances of liquorice, herbs and nutty oak, unveiling some reduction with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate has moderately sweet, up-front fruit flavours of cherries and raspberries, along with subtle notes of herbs and liquorice. The fruit has a good core, supported by light, supple tannin extraction and fresh, lacy acidity. The palate has juiciness and energy, and carries to a lingering, dry finish. This is a juicy, raspberry and cherry fruited Pinot Noir with light tannin extraction and a dry finish. Match with antipasto and poultry over the next 3 years. Wairau Valley fruit fermented with 5% whole bunches to 12.5% alc. the wine aged 11 months in 20% new French oak. 16.0+/20 Mar 2017 RRP $19.99
