Light ruby-red colour with slight garnet hues on the edge. This has a very light and delicate nose with gently lifted red cherry fruit along with herb and nutty nuances, and a suggestion of camphor, Medium-full bodied, the palate has an elegantly concentrated and moderately firm heart of dark-red cherry fruit intermixed with light herb and nutty detail. The wine ha good linearity and is underlined by fine-grained, firm, dry tannin extraction with soft, background acidity. The palate carries the cherry fruit flavours to a sustained, dry finish. This is a firm-hearted cherry-fruited Pinot Noir with a dry, linear flow. Serve with poultry and pork dishes over the next 2+ years. Wairau Valley fruit fermented with 5% whole bunches to 13.5% alc. the wine aged 11 months in 20% new French oak. 15.5+/20 Mar 2017 RRP $19.99
