Splendiferous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-May-2014
Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour, light on rim. The nose is fresh and lively with bright gooseberry fruit aromas and subtle, pungent passionfruit notes. This is steely, refreshing and up-front. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, light and sweet gooseberry and grassy fruit flavours are enlivened by brisk acidity. The expression is uncomplicated and accessible. Grainy phenolic textures emerge and carry the palate to a dry, mouthwatering finish with light passionfruit and floral nuances. This is an up-front aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with some dry textures. Serve with tapas, seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Kerner Estate’ vineyard, cool-fermented to 12.9% alc. and 2.8 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 May 2014 RRP $20.99
