Spinyback Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 07-Dec-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh and well-concentrated with good intensity of cut grass, fresh herb and nettle flavours along with gooseberry elements. The fruit is in the cooler spectrum of expression. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses taut flavours of cut grass, nettles, fresh herbs and capsicums. The mouthfeel is tight and elegantly concentrated, and enlivened by brisk acidity. The wine flows along a dry, fine-textured, thirst-quenching line leading to a crisp finish with nettle and cut grass notes. This is a tightly bound, cooler-spectrum Sauvignon Blanc with cut grass and nettle flavours on a brisk, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from three estate sites on the Waimea Plains, cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. 16.5+/20 Dec 2016 RRP $15.00
