Spinyback Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 14-Oct-2013
Brilliant, very pale straw-yellow colour, light on rim. The bouquet is full with intense aromas of pungent passionfruit, gooseberries, fresh herbs and lime. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, gentle flavours of passionfruit and herbs build with depth and density. Soft textures underline the fruit, with fresh acidity enhancing the fruit sweetness and lively mouthfeel. The flavours are open and accessible, carrying through to a dry, moderately long finish. This is a dry Sauvignon Blanc with moderately deep and open passionfruit flavours. Match with Mediterranean fare, and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from 5 of the company’s vineyards on the Waimea Plains, cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 3.9 g/L RS, 20% of the wine given extended lees contact. 17.5-/20 Oct 2013 RRP $17.99
