Spinyback Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 29-Nov-2012
Waimea Plains fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and 4.4 g/L rs. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, pale on rim. The nose is elegant and fine, quite ethereal in expression, showing gooseberries, white stonefruits and minerals, revealing grassy notes and passionfruit in the glass. Dry to taste, finely concentrated flavours of juicy gooseberries with tropical fruit nuances are enlivened by bright, refreshing acidity. The palate is elegant in proportion, and the racy acidity provides a slippery, flowing mouthfeel. The flavours lead to a lighter finish with some dry textures and a little alcohol warmth noticeable. This is a fine, elegant and racy Sauvignon Blanc with smooth mouthfeel. Serve with Mediterranean inspired salads and vegetable dishes over the next 2 years. 17.5-/20 Nov 2012 RRP 16.00
