Spinyback Nelson Riesling 2016

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 07-Dec-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, a little paler on the edge. The nose is firmly concentrated with good penetrating intensity of lime fruit intermixed with sherbet notes and lifted white florals and a subtle amalgam of herbs and honeysuckle. Medium-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, this has a finely concentrated core with flavours of limes, sherbet, white florals, herbs and honeysuckle. The mouthfeel is fresh and zingy with brisk acidity, and the wine flows along a light-textured line, leading to an aromatic finish with sweet and sour elements. This is a finely concentrated, medium-dry Riesling with lime and sherbet flavours and notes of honeysuckle and herbs on a brisk, fine-textured palate. Serve as an aperitif, and with Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the ‘Annabrook’ and ‘Ruby Bay’ vineyards, cool-fermented in tank to 11.5% alc. and 12.2 g/L RS, TA 7.8 g/L and pH 3.13. 17.5-/20 Dec 2016 RRP $15.00
