Spinyback Nelson Riesling 2014

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 01-Nov-2015
Fruit from the ‘Annabrook’ vineyard, Waimea Plains, cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 13.5 g/L RS. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, paler on rim. This has a finely presented and concentrated nose packed with aromas of lime fruit, white florals, toast and kerosene notes in a harmonious, complex amalgam. The secondary development notes are enlivened and refreshed by a steeliness to the core. Off-dry to taste and light-bodied, a soft, integrated heart of limes, honey and toast features with a smooth-flowing palate line. Unctuous creamy textures emerge, and are balanced by fine, lacy acidity. This has good energy and the wine carries easily to a light, dry, lingering finish of toast and kerosene. This is a soft and integrated off-dry Riesling with secondary toast flavours and a light, dry finish. 17.5-/20 Nov 2015 RRP $15.00
