Spinyback Nelson Riesling 2009

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 24-Mar-2011
Bright straw-yellow colour with light green hues, this has an elegant, finely proportioned nose of lively lime fruits and secondary toasty elements providing interest. Off-dry to taste, this is light-weighted on palate, with lime sherbet fruit flavours along with subtle complexing toastiness and honey notes. The acidity is fresh and offers a lift to the flavours. It would be easy to dismiss the delicacy of this wine for being too light! Drink as an aperitif over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the ‘Hunter' vineyard on the Waimea Plains, cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 10.8 g/L rs. 17.0-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $13.90
