Spinyback Nelson Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 14-Oct-2013
Fruit from the company’s vineyards, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 6.5 g/L RS. Bright straw-yellow colour with some depth, paler on edge. This has a soft nose with good volume of white and yellow stonefruit aromas in an amalgam with honeysuckle and flinty minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of stonefruits is light, clean and straightforward. The palate is well-balance with well-handled phenolics and fine textures and subtly refreshing acidity. The acidity carries the fruit to a light, finish with delicate nuances of stonefruits and minerals. This is a light, dry Pinot Gris with delicate flavours and a well-balanced, fresh mouthfeel. Serve with seafood and white meat dishes over the next 2-3 years. 16.5/20 Oct 2013 RRP $17.99
