Spade Oak ‘Voysey’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 09-Oct-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with aromas of passionfruit entwined with white fkorals and fresh herbs, with nettle elements. The aromatics unveil mouthwatering mineral elements, and the nose grows in intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has is thirst-quenching with flavours of passionfruit, fresh herbs, hints of tropical fruits along with nettle notes. The palate possesses fine phenolic textures and crisp acidity enhancing the mouthwatering mouthfeel. The wine has an elegantly concentrated core and line carrying to a lingering, zesty passionfruity and herb-nuanced finish. This is a crisp, thirst-quenching Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, herb and nettle flavours on a fine-textured palate. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit, 60% Awatere and 40% Wairau, tank-fermented and blended with 7.5% Albarino from the ‘Spade Oak’ vineyard, to 12.5% alc. and 3.1 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Oct 2017 RRP $19.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
