Spade Oak ‘Voysey’ Gisborne Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Gisborn
Review Date : 24-Feb-2015
Pale ruby rosé colour with some depth and light purple on rim. The nose is fresh with voluminous aromas of dark cherry fruit with nuances of savoury strawberries and cream, along with a little confectionary lift and minerally lees. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features positive raspberry and cream fruit flavours alongside bitter cherry notes, lifted by confectionary elements. The fruit and sweetness fills the palate, enhanced by a slippery, racy acid mouthfeel. The wine follows a fine textural line that carries through to a crisp, lusciously juicy, slippery finish with savoury raspberry notes. This is a crisp, slippery, mouthwatering Tempranillo rosé with savoury raspberries and cream flavours. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Tempranillo spending 3 days on skins and fermented to 12.5% alc. and 8.4 g/L RS, the wine spending one month on lees. 17.0+/20 Feb 2015 RRP $19.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
