Spade Oak ‘Heart of Gold’ Gisborne Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Gisborn
Review Date : 12-Dec-2016
Cherry-peach pink colour with some depth and lighter purple hues on the edge. The nose is softly full with packed aromas of savoury raspberry fruit intermingling with cherries, cranberries, red florals and nuances of confectionary at the core. Dryish to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is rounded with concentrated flavours of savoury raspberries, cherries, cranberries and pomegranate harmoniously integrated with lifted confectionary elements. The fruit is rich, and balanced by soft, smooth textures and gentle, mouthwatering acidity that allows the fruitiness to prevail. The fruit sweetness carries to a gently full, aromatic finish of raspberries and confectionary. This is a gently rich and concentrated dryish rosé with savoury raspberry and cranberry flavours and a soft, mouthwatering palate. Match with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Tempranillo from the ‘Spade Oak’ vineyard fermented in tank with 5% seasoned oak Tempranillo blended to 12.5% alc. and 7 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Dec 2016 RRP $24.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
