SOHO ‘Ziggy’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Nov-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with a little blush, paler on the edge. The nose is light and fresh with delicate aromas of exotic white and yellow florals and stonefruits, entwined with some honeysuckle and youthful fermentation aromas. The nose builds with some aeration. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has a softly packed, up-front and elegant heart of exotic florals and stonefruits along with honeysuckle and lifted fermentation esters. The palate shows fruit richness and a soft, lush texture, the fruit enlivened by crisp, refreshing acidity. The acidity carries the wine to a dry finish with exotic floral nuances. This is an up-front, dry Pinot Gris with moderately rich exotic floral, stonefruit and honeysuckle flavours and a crisp, dry finish. Serve with Asian fare over the next 2+ years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 13.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Nov 2016 RRP On-premise only
