SOHO ‘White Collection’ Waiheke Island Rosé 2012

Rose from New Zealand - Northland & Auckland
Review Date : 09-Oct-2012
Bright, moderately deep, cerise-pink colour with light purple hues on rim. Bright and pretty aromas of raspberries and cherries are lifted by a confectionary note along with flinty, minerally elements. Off-dry to taste, lusciously juicy raspberry bon-bon fruit flavours are up-front and enlivened by fine, lacy acidity. This is soft in mouthfeel, but there is plenty of raciness and slippery acidity lifting the fruitiness through to a sustained finish. This is a bright, juicy-fruited and pretty rosé to serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 96% Merlot and 4% Malbec from SOHO's Onetangi vineyard on Waiheke Island, hand harvested and fermented with skin contact to 12.5% alc. and 7.2 g/L rs. 17.5/20 Oct 2012 RRP $22.99
