SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Sep-2016
Very pale straw colour with youthful green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is very fresh, tight and taut with aromas of passionfruit interwoven with gooseberries, nettles, cut grass and fresh herbs, along with mouthwatering mineral notes. This has aromatic clarity and purity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses a clear and focussed core of passionfruit and gooseberry flavours along with nettles and cut grass, all harmoniously entwined. The mouthfeel is crisp and smooth-flowing with oft textured and refreshing, balancing lacy acidity. The wine carries the passionfruit flavours to an elegant, lingering finish. This is a clear, focussed, taut Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, herb and nettle flavours and a smooth-flowing, crisp palate. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Lower Wairau and Southern Valleys cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 2.7 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Sep 2016 RRP $19.00
