SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Oct-2014
Bright, pale straw colour, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh, clean and light with mouthwatering aromas of chalk and mineral infused passionfruit and gooseberries, revealing limes and fresh herbs with aeration. Very dry to taste and tightly bound, flavours of gooseberries, limes and passionfruit are entwined with steely mineral notes. The mouthfeel is crisp and racy with thirst-quenching acidity and wet-stone elements. A delicate textural line guides the palate and the wine leads to a slippery, zesty finish with lingering mineral notes. This is a tight, racy, very dry Sauvignon Blanc with minerally flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Upper Wairau and Southern Valleys, cool-fermented in tank to 12.9% alc. and 2.7 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Oct 2014 RRP $20.00
