SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 09-Oct-2012
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. This is elegantly expressed on bouquet with fresh, pure aromas of gooseberries and minerals, unfolding to reveal a detailed amalgam of tropical fruits, sweet herbs and nettles, with some flinty lees work. Dry to taste, this has a soft and rounded core of gooseberry fruit with passionfruit notes. The fruit is juicy, even and lush , with an open and gentle mouthfeel. Soft acidity provides good tension on the palate line and the flavours flow to a dry, moderately sustained finish. This is a softly juicy Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. Serve with antipasto over the next 2 years. Fruit from five vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau valleys cool-fermented to 13.3% alc. and 4.5 g/L rs. 17.5/20 Oct 2012 RRP $19.99
