SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Sep-2014
Very pale pink with slight purple hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh with good intensity, showing aromas of strawberries and cream, lifted red floral detail and attractive confectionary elements. Dryish to taste and medium-light bodied, fruit flavours of strawberries and redcurrants are lifted by delicate fruit confectionary notes. The mouthfeel is refreshingly slippery and racy from the lively acidity and the wine follows a light, textured line. The wine has a fine dry core, and is clean and thirst-quenching, the acidity carrying the palate to a moderately long racy finish. This is a fresh, mouthwatering rosé with light flavours of strawberries and cream. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Hagen’ vineyard in the Southern Valleys, cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 6.0 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Sep 2014 RRP $24.00
